If finally occurs to me.. I put "idol" not "idle" in the title. Goes to show what a good high school edumacation will do for a person. So, now... do I change it or do I leave it alone.... I kinda liked the idea of an idle mind chattering since it makes no sense. Of course, if you use it in the sense that it lacks substance... well, I don't think that my thoughts are lacking substance, value or basis.... Guess the title will change...........

Damn Dog!!!

I have a beautiful, black and tan doberman pinscher.... who weighs 132 pounds and is the size of a small great dane (if great danes can ever be called small) meaning he is 33 inches at the shoulders. My beautiful, loving (he loves everyone!) generally well trained dog is just STUPID sometimes. This dog LOVES to eat tissues and shredded paper and cardboard. You'd think after getting tissues, etc., stuck in his throat time after time he figure out that they aren't a good thing to eat, but NOOOOO, he just doesn't get it. So, Saturday I'm helping friends move from a huge 5 bedroom house to an apartment (no they didn't loose their jobs or their minds - they are waiting for a new house to be built... the timing is just off) and I get a call from home that the dog has eaten a tissue or something and they can't get it out and he keeps coughing. I get home, the dog can breath well, is drinking and eating, but now has a cough. Nothing in the throat so we wait to go to the vet today. GEEZ... $90 just hear he probably has a scratchy throat from whatever he ate and the coughing. Have some antibiotics and call us if his cough worsens. I didn't have to give them $90 to know that! DAMN DOG!!! I just sold some air filters I was no longer using and was hoping to put the money towards a computer I just bought for my mom or a new bed since mine is broken. It's not too comfortable sleeping at an angle! DAMN DOG!!!

Need to find a bed frame, NOW!

SN

Why Make Plans

Why is it people have no problem calling at the last minute to ask if you mind if they cancel plans with them for something else they now want to do??? What, am I gonna say, "Yes, I mind?" Then they come to my house grudgingly... Yea, I don't think so. Granted they are not necessarily grand plans, just getting together to play cards or possibly have dinner at home. Have I canceled plans before... yes. Do I call and ask people to change their plans at the last minute so I can do something else when I know the person has already cancel other plans in advance to do this. NO. (of course, I really didn't want to drive to the other thing, but I didn't cancel last minute) AND I do have stuff I can do. I just find it rude that people think nothing of calling you to say, "Hey, Joe Shmoe called and I would rather hang out and do nothing with them this evening... Do you mind? Oh, and you can come if you want. Uh, no, thanks... I would rather do nothing at home.

Of course, doing nothing at home means I can do whatever - wash clothes, bitch about friends on my blog, have dinner, walk around naked (roommate is now doing nothing at someone else's house), shop for a new bed on line (cuz I broke my current bed), watch TV, whatever.

I'm off to do all of the above.. ;)

SN

One More Time

ok, I really want the link thing to work so - this is a link to my friend D's web/blog site: www.level13designs.us. Some of the blogs I have read are quite interesting; others come across as complete bull. Perhaps mine will come across the same way. It seems quite a few I have read have themes (maybe because I am interested in the subject being written about I have been drawn these sites). Mine will have no theme, probably just a bunch of rants about people, places and things. I have a lot of built up rants inside my head, hence the desire to blog. Journals never really worked for me. I wrote for a few days, maybe a week or two a most, but lost interest. Here I can link to the things that I want and there is the possibility that someone may read what I've written and comment on it. There is that whole edge that someone will actually know what I'm thinking... and that can't always be good (VEG!)

I'm going to show links to sites I read - don't always care for what they say or the way they think but hey some people I know may be quite offended by my links or thoughts - it's a chance I'll take. I'm getting way too old to worry about what others think... Time to really just do what makes me happy.

So, here goes nothin'!
